정의철 교수는 2014년부터 (주)프로젝트노아 박근우 대표와 지속가능성에 대한 공감을 가지고 꾸준히 고민을 해왔다. 본 대나무칫솔은 고민에 대한 방향 제시의 하나이며, 기존 대나무 칫솔소재를 개선하는 기술을 공대의 이경태, 김은섭 박사가 연구하여, 박근우 대표와 공동으로 특허 등록을 하였다. 디자인은 정의철, 리메이르 연구원이 작업하였다.Since 2014, Professor Jung has worked consistently with Geun-woo Park, CEO of Project Noah, with whom he shares his vision for a sustainable future. The bamboo toothbrush is one of the items developed through the collaboration suggested about the concern, and the technology for improving the existing bamboo toothbrush materials was studied by Doctors Kyeong-tae Lee and Eun-seop Kim of the College of Engineering and was registered for a patent with Mr. Park. Concerning its design, student researchers Eui-Chul Jung and Meile Le were major contributors.
